New Aw’lins was in the house.  More specifically the Maple Leaf uptown on Oak Street.

This wondrously eclectic trio expressed exuberance & New Orleans steeped muses at all turns.  They lit up the captivated crowd over & over.  Each band member added their flavor, which all totaled were something to behold.

Joe Krown rocked the B-3 with Russell Batiste (who was celebrating his bday) more than handling the skins. Walter “Wolfman” was a true delight all night ending on his signature “You can stay but the noise got to go”.  Minutes earlier he played a funky stellar guitar solo with his teeth.

This dynamic trifecta is one to catch.  A good bet to besides local jazz clubs, The (aforementioned) Maple Leaf, French Quarter Fest, Jazzfest, you get the idea.

See ya on the dancefloor.
